Why does Corrisoft’s AIR work? It’s all in our name.
Alternative to Incarceration via Rehabilitation.
Many existing systems provide GPS monitoring, such as ankle bracelets.
However, ankle bracelets can only track location—they can’t help the wearer find employment, receive counseling, or change their behavior. In fact, we believe ankle bracelets actively work against the goal of creating law-abiding and productive members of society.
It’s hard to stay optimistic or feel good about yourself when you’re shackled with a very public reminder of your mistakes.
To reduce recidivism, we must help participants complete the terms of their sentences. The vast majority of offenders that violate their sentence do so on ‘technical violations’—for example, missing a meeting or breaching a boundary restriction.
By using more advanced methods of monitoring and maintaining constant contact with participants, the AIR system decreases the likelihood of technical violations.
We must also help participants with the resources, tools and support they need to ‘stay the course’ when things seem tough.
Corrisoft’s AIR is the only fully-integrated, web-based platform that both safely monitors participants with cutting-edge GPS and cell technologies while giving participants the tools and resources they need to truly turn their lives around.
Together, we can implement a more effective system and reduce recidivism.
To reduce recidivism in a meaningful way, we must help participants truly turn their lives around. That's where you can help.
Only by giving participants greater access to employment opportunities, education and vocational training, workshops and classes, mental health and substance abuse programs, will they have the resources and skills they need to truly change.
Within the AIR system, we've created AIR Exchange, a community network that matches AIR Participants with the services, job opportunities, therapists, counselors, universities and colleges that meet their specific needs. By matching participants with opportunities for employment or counseling or education, our AIR Exchange is a critical component in our efforts to greatly reduce recidivism. Please consider joining AIR Exchange as one of our valued Community Partners.
