That’s our core belief at the heart of our mission. We must effectively reduce recidivism to affect any real change.
If we don’t, we’ll continue to build prohibitively expensive prisons to house the growing U.S. prison population—already the most incarcerated country in the world, these are prisons we can’t afford and prisons we don’t need.
Make no mistake. We must work hard, and we must work together. All of us—from legislators and judges to law enforcement supervisors, members of the community to neighbors and businesses and services—must get involved in order to succeed.

Only by giving participants greater access to employment opportunities, education and vocational training, workshops and classes, mental health and substance abuse programs, will they have the resources and skills they need to truly change.
Within the AIR system, we've created AIR Exchange, a community network that matches AIR Participants with the services, job opportunities, therapists, counselors, universities and colleges that meet their specific needs. By matching participants with opportunities for employment or counseling or education, our AIR Exchange is a critical component in our efforts to greatly reduce recidivism.
